Roses in Full Bloom

Roses in full Bloom.  Oil on canvas.    350x450mm

Roses, my mothers’ flower, she loved them and I have always tried to  paint them to the best of my ability.

Here are a beautiful bunch of roses from my neighbour, Joans’ garden. She is an elderly woman who also loves roses.  Her garden is a mass with many varieties and when they are flowering they are a wonderful display.

These roses were picked as the last blooms of summer and just before Joan pruned them.

They were in full bloom so I had no time to loose capturing  them on the canvas.

They showed me they are full blooms tipping to a point of difference when the petal is about to leave the flower.

Such a potent moment to capture life.
