‘When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, its’ your world for a moment.’

I want to give that world to someone else.  Most people in the city rush around, so, they have no time to look at a flower.   I want them to see it whether they want to or not.

I fully grasp her sentiment and I think all painters when they start to paint flowers begin to be immersed in the wonder of this amazing life form.   Its varying structure, colours, growth habit, climatic location, and blooming season all a result of an ancient evolutionary process designed for its unique reproduction through flowering and fruiting, which in turn give us life.

The Flower can break the Stones and soften the hardest hearts.
